Unlocking Confidence: How Halogen Changes Lives with Entrepreneurial Skills
+ How to persuade anyone
Top 10 Tips
"Low-income"
"Delayed learning development"
These labels can be like shackles to youth.
Weighing them down and preventing them from reaching their full potential.
Thankfully, there is Ivy Tse and her team at Halogen.
Their team is empowering such children with entrepreneurial skills.
But more than that, they're giving them a renewed sense of confidence.
I recently had the opportunity to mentor a group of secondary students and was blown away about their business ideas.
One student told me about a Google Map-like app for the visually impaired.
He told me in detail the challenge that these people were having and how his app would address those issues.
At the end of his pitch, I asked him if he knew of someone who was blind.
He told me that his father was gradually losing his eyesight.
No wonder he had so much passion for his idea - he was trying to help his father and people like him.
I then told him that his idea was really good and encouraged him to continue.
He smiled slightly and nodded his head.
For many children who are thinking to themselves:
"I'm not smart enough."
"I'm not good enough."
There are amazing folks like those at Halogen.
So remind yourself:
"You are smart enough."
"You are good enough."
You just haven't been giving the opportunity to shine!
